The Taurus G3C has a 10+1 capacity magazine of 9mm or an extended one with 12 rounds. Which gun is better, the Taurus G2C or G3C? We much prefer the G3C for only a few bucks more for its three magazines, upgraded metal sights, front serrations, and redesigned mag well.
Although both pistols have the same width, the G3 is slightly taller and longer than the G3c, featuring a taller grip, a longer barrel (4” vs. the G3c’s 3.2”), and a matching longer slide. The G3 is a little longer, a little taller, a little heavier, and a little wider than its competitors. The G3 is designed to take on the Glock 19, but its main advantage is in pricing. The G3 costs less than half the price of the Austrian pistol, and if history is any guide is likely less reliable.
The most accurate load was the Federal Syntech 138 gr. HP. Next most accurate was the Federal 135 HS Deep. This gun definitely liked the heavier bullets.

Shooting the Taurus G3 is probably like you’d expect. It doesn’t have a ton of recoil, but it’s not a smooth shooting gun either. It tracks reasonably well and considering the price point, I really can’t complain. Don’t expect it to shoot as well as a $500 pistol, but for the money, it’s hard to beat.
